Mike’s Mob, led by coach Mike Edwards, specializes in all throwing events and supports athletes at every level, from beginners to those pursuing national and international success. The squad includes juniors, seniors, and masters, offering a welcoming environment for athletes transitioning from school or Little Athletics, or returning to the sport later in life.

MIKE EDWARDS OMA
Mike Edwards is a former elite hammer thrower who placed 6th at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth. He went on to become National Hammer Coach (1980–1990) and Team Throws Coach at the 1989 World Cup in Barcelona. He also served as VIS Throws Coaching Coordinator and VTC Throws Coach for 20 years. A founding member of Athletics International, Mike has coached athletes from grassroots to international level and remains a respected leader in Australian throws coaching.
