Our junior athletes shine at XC Cruden Farm
Podium results & impressive team performances for Hunters boys and girls
Glenhuntly Athletic Club - Latest News
Our junior athletes posted some great performances last weekend at Cruden Farm. Saturday 10th July was a cold and gloomy sort of day, however, there was no rain and the conditions were good for cross-country running. In total we had 11 competitors and fielded three teams. Madison King was our only competitor in the junior girls and she had a great win.

Positions on Athletics Victoria XCR Ladders 2021/22 (after Round 4)
It was great to see three first placings in the four events in which our teams competed. There was truly fantastic running from all team members. Whilst we have missed out on points in earlier rounds of XC, if we have similar numbers compete in future rounds of the XCR season, we will likely move up the team ladders several places.
Our teams are currently placed as follows on the Athletics Victoria ladders:
U18 Boys 6th
U16 Boys 6th
U14 Boys 2nd
U14 girls 6th
Victorian Cross-Country Championships
The current COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria means that the VIC XC Championships have been postponed. The Athletics Victoria team is considering the options for rescheduling this event and more information will be released in due course. It is disappointing that the XC Championships did not take place this weekend, after the fantastic results for the Glenhuntly Athletic Club's under-age teams last weekend. Many of our teams are in great form and ready to go.
We look forward to the next round of competition, whenever that may be. In the meantime keep the training ticking along.
